The Emerson Umbrella -- BIG ART 2

The Emerson Umbrella in Concord MA has installed its second annual large-scale outdoor sculpture exhibition, BIG ART 2. The exhibition includes works by members of the Boston Sculptors group, from New England and the northeast, and from around the country. It represents works in many styles and media — figurative and abstract, monumental and intimate — and materials from carved granite to cast bronze to concrete to carved wood to natural branches and hand-made stone. The exhibition will be on display through November 1, 2o11.

Artists represented include: Anne Alexander, Ben Cabot, Scott Cunningham, Peter DeCamp Haines, Tom Holmes, Hilary Hutchison, Michio Ihara, Andy Moerlein, Louise Peterson, Antoinette Schultze, Greg Spitzer, Margaret Swan, John Weidman, and Joseph Wheelwright. The exhibition has been designed by Shinichiro Abe, owner/principal of Zen Associates of Boston and Washington, D.C.
