New Work in ALASKA! W/Donna Dodson

A Very Special Reception Wednesday July 24th 4-7pm

Both Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein will be present for a mid summer reception of their work in the gallery plus new work that they just brought in to share. Donna's elegant carved animal goddesses and Andy's shaped sticks, ceramic birds and stones will be featured.

Moonlight, 2013 wood, crystallized moonlight (mica) by Andy Moerlein

Perhaps you know the moment? Moonlight on a still night in a canoe. Love so present the moonlight crystallizes and drifts gently down upon you in a blanket of bright.

Walrus Mother, 24" tall, wood, paint 2008 by Donna Dodson
The Walrus Mother does not vie for dominance over territory like the males of her species in an act of brutal strength. She IS the center of the family and she holds court forthrightly. Intellectually dominant, she controls the whims of her children to suit her wishes and they hover close to the warmth of her body, competing for the chance to bask in her love.
