Echoing the pattern of stones scattered about this geologically spectacular and steep landscape, I have placed in trees high overhead a lighthearted and unexpected series of my signature hand made stones.
Some of these "stones" were massive. Donna is standing under one that is 8' x 6' x 4'
-- over 20 feet in the tree.
Others occupied a more intimate siting where they can be seen closely.
The installation itself was a bit of a tree rodeo but Guido was an exceptional tree jockey. Once the lift truck got stuck on the extreme hillside (immediately), we solved placement with ropes and dexterity.
This is a semi-permanent installation subject to the whims of tree longevity and extremes of weather.
